Holidays/Occasions

Regardless of whether or not you celebrate various holidays that are ingrained into our society, you can take the opportunity to use these occasions as a means of outreach.

Personally, I have many reasons to avoid what constitutes the average Christmas. It represents to me the modern day "high places", blending pagan and Christian worship as was so common in the Old Testament. Yet, we can focus people onto the Biblical aspect of the holiday.

Easter is sadly no better than Christmas. Valentines is another pagan invention, but a great opportunity to point out the One who loves us most. If you are looking for Christmas trees, Santa Claus, easter bunnies, easter eggs, hearts and other pagan ideas/symbols you are not going to find them on this website, but I do hope you can use what is here for outreach. St Patrick's day is a great opportunity to share the Gospel.

Children will grow up and realise that the tooth fairy was a lie, santa claus was a lie, etc., we should not be telling lies to our children.

1 John 2:21 KJV

"I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth."

Rather than pretend these things aren't happening, we can use them to direct attention to the truth.

John 3 : 16 Valentine Colouring Sheet

Yes, valentines day is pagan and certainly not found in Scripture, BUT, it is a great opportunity to present this powerful Gospel verse.

Nativity Colouring!

"Christmas" is largely man made. However we can and should use this time of year to focus on the Biblical account we have been given of the incarnation of Jesus, and the reason He came to earth as a babe. To save sinners.

John 1:14

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Finding Jesus Printable Colouring Tract

Simply CLICK HERE to print this free template for a children's colouring in Gospel tract.  Nativity themed and with KJV/AV Scripture texts.

It needs to be double side printed, if your printer has a double sided option, choose to flip on the short edge.  Or you can manually print on both sides.

Light card works best, 160gsm fits easily through most inkjet printers.

With the sheet placed landscape, measure in 10cm from the left hand side, across the "But Why???" page.  Fold the right hand side over to the 10cm mark, then the left hand side should fit over this, leaving the "Finding Jesus" page on front.  Now trim the tract into two, a rotary trimmer leaves a good smooth edge.

This sounds complicated, see the pictures!

The Death, Burial & Resurrection Of Jesus

"Easter" is a blend of pagan tradition and Christianity.

Think about it.

We can focus on the Scriptural accounts we have been given, and be careful to avoid the bunnies and eggs.
